Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) may be skating on thin ice, according to General Hospital spoilers. While Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was the target of the “sting” operation to obtain the information on him, Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) was the one who obtained the USB file on the “Pikeman” deal.

Mason’s days in the little town may be numbered after Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) made a bold comment about him in a recent episode.

Someone Needs To Take The Fall For The Botched Charges

According to GH spoilers, many people are angry that the feds were unable to catch Sonny.

Prior to dismissing the charges against Sonny, Judge Jarret (Matthew Kimbrough) was furious about the time and resources that were expended in bringing Sonny to court.

The federal authorities became enraged as a result of their seeming foolishness, and even the jail warden called Cyrus in to express her rage.

Cyrus Renault Promised To Put An End To Mason Gatlin

The conversation between Cyrus and the prison warden was interesting, to say the least, and offered tons of insight.

First, it’s clear that the Pentonville system is massively corrupt, and likely the government in the surrounding areas of Port Charles as criminal Cyrus noted that the warden became the warden because of “strings” he’s pulled. Renault is a lot more powerful than many first believed.

The warden also brought up Mason, noting he was “worthless”. Cyrus somewhat defended his relative associate, stating that Gatlin had done good work in the past, but his usefulness as one of God’s emissaries was coming to an end.

Cyrus Renault May Have Mason Gatlin Axed Due To His Fumble Around Getting The “Goods” On Sonny That Was Needed.

Mason won’t just be dismissed; in the world of the mob, things don’t operate that way. Mason’s demise will be handled in a way that sends a message to both Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Cyrus’s other “associates,” a.k.a. Austin Gatiline-Holt (Roger Howarth).

It will be obvious that Gatlin’s “boss” wasn’t pleased with the stunts that were pulled, and if anyone chooses to offend him, there will be more to come.
