According to General Hospital teasers, Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) may eventually make a significant comeback to the little town given everything that is going on in Port Charles at the moment.
Getting back access to his kid Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) is a top priority on his “to-do” list. Will Nicholas Chavez’s character Spencer Cassadine take severe action to put an end to this?
Spencer Cassadine’s Need To Protect His Baby Brother
According to GH teasers, Spence feels an uncontrollably strong need to shield his little sibling. As a matter of fact, this has strained his bond with Tabyana Ali’s Trina Robinson.
Trina has taken issue with her boyfriend’s desire to be more of a father figure to Ace than an older brother because Spencer has been behaving more like a father than a brother and spending a lot of time with the baby’s mother and his former partner, Esme Prince (Avery Pohl).
The underlying re ason behind this is that he doesn’t want Ace to feel as abandoned as he was by their father and is overcompensating.
Still, if Nik were to return and want custody of the baby, would Spencer take extreme measures to keep Ace from their dad?
The Austin Gatlin-Holt Factor
The reason behind the buzz of Nikolas returning has much to do with Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) murder.
Austin knew who was behind that gun because of how he acknowledged the shooter when he walked into his home.
Due to this, there has been a great deal of conjecture that Nik killed Austin and may also be the one provoking his ex-wife, Ava Jerome (Maura West).
This suggests that Nikolas might make a quick comeback. It won’t necessarily be because he killed Austin, but it will make the “whodunit” plot more intriguing.
This implies that there will be tension between him, Esme, and Spencer, which could lead to drastic measures being taken by the two ex-spouses to prevent Ace from seeing his real father.
