We have your weekly NCIS: Los Angeles recap down below. NCIS: Los Angeles returns tonight on CBS with a brand-new episode named “New Beginnings” from season 14 of that show. According to the CBS synopsis for tonight’s episode of NCIS Los Angeles, “When an ATF agent goes missing, the bureau asks the NCIS team for assistance in examining stolen military-grade weapons and locating the agent.”
Also, Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Anna (Bar Paly) continue to plan their wedding, Rountree’s (Caleb Castille) sister interviews for medical school and Sam (LL COOL J) encourages his father to take part in the drug trial.”
In tonight’s NCIS: LA episode, Callen was struggling to put together the seating chart for his wedding. His fiancé was no help. He wanted to limit his future father-in-law to just one plus one. Only Anna said that Arkady wanted to double his odds. He was a gambler. He was also a great admirer of the late Hugh Hefner.
They were once friends before Arkady was kicked out of the Playboy mansion for what he did in the grotto. Callen hadn’t wanted to hear the story and sadly there was no stopping Anna. She told him about the Britney Spears costume that came with a live boa constructor. And she would have said more if their band hadn’t cancelled on them at the last minute.
Two of the band members were involved in an accident. They wouldn’t be able to make the wedding and that was an issue because that band was the only one that the couple could agree on.
They still were struggling to put their wedding together when Admiral Killbride came calling. The Admiral called in everyone to assist the ATF. ATF SAC Kerry Adams has lost contact with one of her agents during the search for missing military grade weapons. The weapons were stolen. This missing agent had claimed he was getting close to finding them when suddenly he went dark.
The agent’s name is William Newsome. He’s gone dark before only he always pops up after a while. Adams was hoping he would do that again and at the same time she had NCIS assisting her people.
If something happened to Newsome or if he changed sides, she needed to know. The latter was more believable following Newsome’s appearance performance. He suddenly spoke out and remarked that his inquiry may have been exposed. He believed the thieves knew who he really was. He claimed that in order to protect himself, he went unnoticed, which left NCIS in an awkward situation.
They wanted to find those weapons. The weapons were stolen from a military base in the first place that meant it was in their jurisdiction no matter what ATF thought, but they had to work with Newsome on top of investigating him. They had Newsome at the boat shed while Fatima and Roundtree were investigating him at headquarters.
Those two found out that Newsome had put his daughter into a private school. It was an expensive school. His daughter wasn’t there on scholarship nor did she receive any financial aide from either state or federal government to attend.
Newsome’s ex-wife also wasn’t working. She’s living on the support payments she gets from Newsome and somehow that was enough to afford a swanky school for their daughter. It was beginning to look like Newsome was dirty. That he got tired of watching people get rich from crime while he was working off a government salary. What they found wasn’t enough to prove he was taking the bribes. They had to keep digging even as the others were working with Newsome to recover the missing weapons.
Newsome informed them that he had drawn near. He mentioned that he almost broke into the thief’s cave but was apprehended before he could obtain evidence that the weapons were even present. He informed them of the movements being made with the weaponry. He planned for Kensi and Deeks to approach the weapon from the hillside in order to get a bird’s eye view. The couple started questioning if they should leave if they discovered any additional proof that he was unclean, but they were fortunate. Newsome didn’t pay for his daughter’s pricey education.
The daughter had a grandfather who put together a college fund for her when she was little. There was now enough money in there to see her all throughout her schooling. She didn’t even need to take out loans. Newsome’s ex wife wasn’t living outrageously. She was living a quiet life and so no one in his family were flushed with case. There was no evidence to indicate Newsome was dirty. Kensi and Deeks didn’t have to worry about their position or if Newsome will out them for a payday. Newsome was clean.
Adams was the filthy one. Because her boss was getting paid so much for turning a blind eye, Newsome’s boss had lost interest in the line in the sand. She was the one who revealed Newsome’s identity. She did it to earn money. Callen and Sam went to apprehend her. Unfortunately, the other agent she was with at the time was equally filthy. They started utilizing all of their weapons to corner NCIS and put them in a defenseless position. Who knows what will occur after that?
