Looking back over the GH archives, Cassandra had a horrific past with people like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Anna Devane, and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), among others. But let’s start with Valentin.
She once had a love relationship with him, and they also engaged in illicit business transactions.
As Anna tried to bring her down during her time in Port Charles, the fact that Anna is now with the man Pierce wants to be with would undeniably leave a bad taste in her mouth.
When Cassandra came to Port Charles back in 2017, she wanted nothing more than to conduct illegal business dealings with both Valentin and Sonny. Posing as Pikeman has offered her that opportunity.

Since Nik and Cassandra were once partners in crime and viewers are aware that Mason has Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) on life support, it wouldn’t be too surprising if Cassandra was his unknown employer keeping him alive.
In addition, fans should be reminded that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Pierce also had a fierce rivalry, making their desire for information to bring Sonny down understandable if the secret boss is Cassandra.
