In the previous year, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) lost practically all of her possessions, according to General Hospital spoilers. Carly overheard Drew Cain (Cameron Matheson) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) discussing their intentions to integrate ELQ and Aurora Media.
Carly heavily invested in Aurora in an effort to assist. She temporarily sold her share of the Metro Court to make it happen. However, the merger’s intentions were unsuccessful, and Carly suffered significant financial losses that prevented her from repurchasing her stake in the high-rise hotel.

However, Carly’s financial issues persisted. She engaged in insider trading when she bought all the Aurora Media Stock she could because she was acting on inside information indirectly provided to her by Michael and Drew.
After the SEC eventually learned of Carly’s violation, she was hit with a five million dollar penalties. Carly paid the fine but was largely left without money. Carly was given the option to purchase Kelly’s Diner from her mother Bobbie Spencer (the late Jacklyn Zeman) for one dollar.
Carly Spencer Has Big Plans For Kelly’s Diner!
Carly plans to turn the purchase of Kelly’s into a huge profit. The first steps in her plan include a huge remodel. Although Carly hasn’t really divulged exactly what her plans are, her financial future begins with Kelly’s.
Whether she plans to make the Diner a franchise or simply expand the restaurant itself remains to be scene. However, there is a good change that Carly’s dreams may go up in smoke leaving her back at square one!
Cyrus Renault Is As dangerous As Ever!
Carly and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) are still close even if they are no longer married. Although Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is still incarcerated in Pentonville, it is clear that he is the mastermind behind numerous illegal activities in Port Charles.
Given that she is no longer married to Sonny and is therefore less safe, he might decide to target Carly. Cyrus once planted a bomb inside the Floating Rib, and at Kelly’s, he could easily repeat his strategy.
It’s unclear whether anyone was hurt, but Kelly might very well burn down, leaving Carly with nothing once more.
