Ever since Yahoo Lifestyle revealed Farmer Bert Harris is set to leave Farmer Wants A Wife without choosing one of his final three ladies – Karli Hinkley, Caitlin Crank, and Brooke McCallum – many fans have been left wondering how Karli felt about the shock exit given that she appears to be so smitten with him.
Well, we have some answers, and it seems as though Karli has moved on with a new man.
A close friend of the reality TV participant has revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle that Karli, who is currently based in Geelong, “is contractually not allowed to publicly reveal any details about her new relationship and will have to wait a few more months before she can go public”.
“The show wrapped in December last year and Karli was actually done with filming in November. She has had plenty of time to put the show behind her,” they add. “The final edit has been quite cringeworthy at times but with her heart and mind elsewhere Karli has been happy to laugh it off and play along with Channel Seven.”
It comes after Yahoo Lifestyle revealed Farmer Bert has been growing closer to Lauren McNeil, who chose to leave the series after struggling with the competitive element of the show.
Friends of Karli reveal she is happy in her new relationship, has well and truly moved on from Bert, and is happy for him and Lauren. While she believes it is still early days for the new couple, Karli’s romantic feelings for the pineapple farmer have been gone for some time, and she doesn’t believe Bert and Lauren’s relationship status is any of her concern.
While Karli has moved on, it would seem Caitlin isn’t as thrilled with the news that ‘her’ pineapple farmer is dating Lauren as “she had still been holding out hope for Farmer Bert to circle back and whisk her away.”
“It wasn’t a happy ending for all the girls once romanced in Wamuren during filming and it’s interesting none of his final girls got the guy,” an insider reveals.
“I think Farmer Bert has friend-zoned Caitlin and Brooke in the process and that’s where those relationships are currently at. No real details of how that went down have surfaced, but I am sure once the show has finished and the contracts with Channel Seven have expired audiences will be updated.”
Bert is expected to go public with Lauren in late May once the show finishes airing.
Interestingly, Lauren shared this to her Stories on Monday night:
