“Big Brother” Season 26 continues after a two-night special premiere last week.
The way the show works is that 16 cast members are put into a house together where they are recorded 24/7 by 94 HD cameras and 113 microphones. Every week, the houseguests will have to vote someone out, and the last remaining houseguest will win the prize of $750,000.
This season, the show’s theme is “BB Artificial Intelligence,” or “BB AI,” and it has already brought surprises as houseguests were given the option of voting in a 17th person during premiere week. The new houseguest turned out to be an AI robot and, despite not being voted in, will spend the summer with the contestants.
“From summer camp to tech, to the multiverse, ‘Big Brother’ loves to put a twist on topical and pop culture themes,” Executive Producers Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan said in a press release. “This summer’s ‘BB AI’ theme promises to bring the fun, the comedy and the unexpected gameplay that is a hallmark of ‘Big Brother.’”
The Season 26 cast includes a diverse mix of professions, from a celebrity chef and a former undercover cop to a crochet business owner and a physical therapist.
