Big Brother aired its latest episode on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. It featured Head of the Household (HoH) Angela Murray’s fight with castmate Matt Hardeman. Angela called Matt “eye candy” and said he would get involved in a “showmance” before the others.
She also jokingly asked houseguest Cam Sullivan-Brown not to do “anything for him [Matt] until after the game” when Matt asked Cam for some advice. Angela’s comments triggered Matt to believe he was being targeted.
During the live feeds, viewers saw the Big Brother HoH approach Matt to extend her apologies. She admitted that she should not have publicly mocked him. Fans of the show were upset to see Angela’s apology not included in the latest episode.
During the episode, fans were shown Angela conversing with Matt and even calling him “crazy eyes.” Viewers took to X to vent their frustration over how the producers cut-out Angela’s apology.

“So you’re telling me they also edited out the apologies from angela?? to benefit matt??? i didn’t realize that omfg. I HATE THIS EDIT WE ARE LIVING IN A DYSTOPIAN TIMELINE #bb26,” another fan tweeted.
Fans thought the edits were one-sided since they made Angela look bad and “infantilized Matt.”

“Angela villian edit, lisa crazy edit and Matt sympathy edit pls #bb26,” another netizen wrote.
“Angela might be deranged, insufferably annoying, and psychotic, however, the decision to edit Matt as some sympathetic figure is wild. I get they’ve only got 40-45 minutes to work with, but the amount of context missing this episode was baffling. #BB26,” one user tweeted.
Many Big Brother fans were enraged by the producers’ choice not to include Angela’s apologies. They felt it was crucial to the entire feud and should have been showcased for the viewers’ understanding.

The feud started when Big Brother HoH asked Cam, the physical therapist, not to help Matt when he expressed an issue with his lower back. Although Angela tried to brush the matter away by saying it was only a joke, Matt was unimpressed.
“Well…Angela, was that smoke?” said Matt.
Angela feared that Matt would influence the female houseguests to form an alliance with him and threaten her position in the house. She publicly accused him of using his appearance to persuade the women.
“Oh, I don’t think Matt is super charming, I know Matt is super charming. I think he’s gonna have these girls like in the palm of his hands. I do think Matt is one to watch. I could see him going kind of far,” Angela commented.

Later in the day, Angela apologized to Matt for publicly talking about him getting involved in a “showmance.” However, the segment was not showcased in the latest episode. During their private conversation, she admitted she did not mean it “in any other way.”
She apologized for her actions and said she had a “big mouth.” She added that she would not put his name “out there with anybody.” Despite her reassurance, the Big Brother houseguest was not convinced. As a result, he warned her that he was not the person to “take that two chances with.”
The following morning, the Big Brother HoH had an emotional outburst and said:
“You [Matt] freaking have crazy eyes!”
She accused him of “verbally” threatening her during their “one-onone.” Meanwhile, Matt and the other Big Brother castmates stared in disbelief.
