First GH Things First: Should Esme Prince Pay Before Being Redeemed?

Can a GH bad girl go good without suffering first?

It’s tough to figure out who on General Hospital will be forced to pay for their crimes versus who will be allowed to walk free. For instance, Carly is less guilty for committing insider trading than Nina is for reporting it. Liesl killed, kidnapped, and blackmailed, but…bygones! Meanwhile, Blackie Parrish is presumably still in prison for an accident that happened 40 years ago. Esme Prince could have a price to pay.

Esme Prince: Should She Pay?

Where does that leave Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl)? She committed many crimes. But now says she can’t remember doing it. Plus, she loves her baby. Should Esme be allowed to move on with her life, or must she be compelled to pay before it’s time to forgive and forget?

We’re Good General Hospital

Poor Esme has suffered enough, 5% dismiss. She was held prisoner by Nik, kidnapped by her nutso biological parents, thrown off a balcony, and forced to give birth on the floor without pain relief to a toddler. In Port Charles, being a victim means you can’t be held responsible for anyone you may have victimized. Those are the rules.

GH Slap on the Wrist

Sure, make her pay, 11% shrug. But make her pay the same way so many other Port Charles criminals have paid. Give her, like, community service. Or a fine. Something token. You know, like Sonny (Maurice Benard). Or Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Or Liesl (Kathleen Gati). Or Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Or Sam (Kelly Monaco). Treat her like everyone else, no better, no worse.

Jail Time For Esme Prince

Esme’s first stint in prison stripes wasn’t enough, 84%, insist. She needs to do more jail time. First and foremost for what she did to Trina (Tabyana Ali). And then for her collaboration with Ryan (Jon Lindstrom). And then for being a mean girl. She needs to suffer in a formalized manner. Break the cutie. Then bring her back and let her start being a vixen all over again.
