At least for the time being, It is daytime television after all, and problems and drama are always just a blink away! Interestingly, Michael’s portrayer, Chad Duell is also on the brink of parenthood in real life! The General Hospital star and his partner, Luana Lucci are expecting a baby. Is Chad Duell Leaving General Hospital?
Since Michael gave up trying to kill Sonny, he has actually kind of faded into the background on General Hospital. His household bliss with Willow and their kids is a side plot, and he is no longer frequently in the foreground of anything. What’s going on, we ponder! Chad recently wrote about embarking on new experiences on Instagram. He captioned the photo, “Embracing new journeys in life is like learning to tango with the unknown.” He also emphasized how, despite our initial stumbles and even falls, we finally discover our beat and produce a dance that is entirely our own.
We wonder what he could be talking about? Could Chad be suggesting that Michael has lived through all possible storylines on General Hospital, and it could be time for him to start something new as an actor? It is a possibility! But then, there is also an equal chance that he could be talking about embracing fatherhood and embarking on a new beginning that would perhaps demand a completely different version of him. We really hope it is the latter and not the former! Because Chad really is a stellar performer and we would hate to lose an amazing star like him from the soap.
Even if Chad is talking about embracing parenthood, it is still possible that he will take a little hiatus from General Hospital filming after the baby is born.
