It is only a few days before General Hospital hits the massive milestone of completing 60 years on air! On April 1, 2023, the lone standing soap of ABC will mark its 60th -anniversary. We know that the makers are bringing back the Nurses Ball in full swing to celebrate its scintillating feat. In the ongoing episodes, a number of characters are already preparing for their appearance in the Nurses Ball. Bobbie Spencer is co-chairing the ball with Maxie Jones, and that opens the door for an absolutely wonderful possibility. And, it would be right in sync with the latest General Hospital spoiler.
General Hospital makers have teased that the Nurses Ball this year will be an extravagant affair. After all, it is being revived after a long time. The latest spoilers tease that a musical star could make a comeback for the festivities! However, they haven’t yet revealed who this star could be. But considering that Bobbie is co-chairing the ball, we think we know who it could be! Drumrolls, it’s none other than Rick Springfield as Eli Love! Bobbie and Eli Love, a.k.a. Dr. Noah Drake, have so much history together. And it would be such a treat to watch them share the screen together one more time!
For the unversed, The OG Eli Love and Noah Drake were look-alikes on General Hospital. When the real Eli Love fell sick and had to back off from performing, Bobbie helped Noah to take his place for the AIDS Charity Concert. However, Noah’s alcoholism eventually pushed the breaks on his stint as Eli Love, the singer. The last time we saw Ridge Springfield on General Hospital was in 2013 when he returned to perform for the Nurses Ball that year! Wouldn’t it be wonderful for him to recreate it a decade later in 2023’s Nurses Ball?
But hey! Eli Love isn’t the only Rockstar to have set the stage on fire on General Hospital. Over the decades, the ABC soap has seen many singing sensations in Port Charles. Since the spoiler only mentioned the return of a musical star, and chose not to name-drop, we can only assume! Thus, we bring to you some more names that fit the bill! Long-time fans would remember John Stamos as Blackie Barrish! He made one of the hottest pairs back in the ’70s with Lou Swenson. Together, they formed a band called Frankie and the Riff Raff.
Later, actor Jack Wagner became the band’s lead singer as Frisco Jones on General Hospital. Now, if Bobbie has a long-standing history with Noah, a.k.a. Eli Love, Maxie has it with Frisco! After all, Frisco Jones is her father. Thus, he stands as much a chance of returning to take over the stage of the Nurses Ball as does Eli!
