One of Laura Webber Collins’s three children is coming home to GH
General Hospital is getting Lucky — in more ways than one. Jonathan Jackson, who debuted on the show over 30 years ago as Lucas Lorenzo “Lucky” Spencer, son of legendary duo Luke and Laura, is coming back to the show.

Executive producer Frank Valentini teased at the Daytime Emmys in an interview with On the Red Carpet that an actor was returning to the show that fans would go crazy for. Now, we know that actor’s identity. Deadline broke the news that Jackson is coming back to the show — and his stay is set to be lengthy.
The actor shared a post on X (formerly Twitter). “I’m returning to [General Hospital] this summer! Excited for the journey to continue…” Jackson credited fans with playing a part in his return to GH.

Jackson last appeared on the show in 2015. His return means that at least one of Laura’s children will be on the canvas at the same time she is. Laura’s daughter Lulu (Emme Rylan) is recuperating from injuries she sustained in an explosion. Her son Nikolas (Adam Huss) is currently incarcerated in prison.
Jackson’s not the only familiar face on his way back to Port Charles. Bryan Craig is set to reprise his role as Morgan later this summer. While Craig’s set to be back for just one day, Jackson’s return is set to be long-term.
During his run as Lucky, Jonathan Jackson has won five Daytime Emmys either in the Outstanding Younger Actor or Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category.
Jackson’s credits away from GH include The Deep End of the Ocean, which starred Michelle Pfeiffer, Whoopi Goldberg, and the late Treat Williams, and the TV series Nashville.
