Jon Lindstrom Says John J. York Is In Need Of Serious Prayers

“I hope you’ll all take just a minute today to send some healing thoughts to my friend John J. York,” Jon tweeted along with a picture of his close pal. This is a significant week, and we’d all like your support. I’m grateful.

It was certain that a large number of Jon’s followers would quickly leave comments on his post saying something like, “I hope his procedures are successful and that he makes a full recovery and speedy return to #GH.” “PCPD needs Mac!” and “I’ve got you covered.” I’m sending prayers and good thoughts to John and everyone who is close to him.

Another General Hospital fan wrote, “Prayers sent your way John! You’ve got this! You have us all behind you praying for you! Speedy recovery and healing thoughts.”

What’s Next For John?

Back in September, John took to his Twitter account to explain to his fans what’s been going on these last several months for him. He started off by saying that he wanted to give everyone an update as to why he’s taking a break from General Hospital.

And this is it, John remarked. Myelodysplastic syndrome, or MDS, and multiple smoldering myeloma, two blood and bone marrow illnesses, were the diagnoses I received last December of 22. I’ve had three bone marrow biopsies, numerous chemotherapy treatments, one more scheduled in a few weeks, and I’m almost ready for a blood stem cell transplant over the past several months. In order to locate a possible donor on their registry, I’ve been collaborating with some amazing people at Be The Match. Visit bethematch.org/matchformac if you would be willing to become a donor and join their registry in order to help hundreds and thousands of other individuals in need of a donor in addition to myself.

Luckily, John did update his fans and said that he did find a bone marrow match. Watch this space as there is more to come.
