Valentin Cassadine is determined to finally do right by Charlotte, but is he too late?

The General Hospital recap for September 25, 2023, features Valentin giving Charlotte — and Nina — a big surprise.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

In this episode, Valentin provided Charlotte with something she’s wanted for a long time. Carly and Sonny both ran to GH to check on a beaten and bloodied Drew while Anna spent time crying over her own life in the chapel. Brook Lynn managed to land Blaze as a client. Kristina wondered why Molly couldn’t tell her happy news on her own while Molly broke the baby news to TJ and his family. Now let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

Valentin’s Big Secret Revealed

Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) woke from a bad dream in which Anna (Finola Hughes) told her that Valentin was all hers now, meaning Charlotte couldn’t have Papa’s undivided attention. Nina (Cynthia Watros) was there to comfort her and assure her it was just a nightmare, but Charlotte refused to tell her what it was about.

Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) soon arrived and took Charlotte and Nina to the house Anna had followed him to a few weeks ago. He showed Charlotte around and then announced he had bought the place, giving Charlotte the forever home she always wanted. When Charlotte was left alone, she flashed back to the moment she received a package at boarding school containing her tarot cards. It also came with a note that looked like a set of instructions.

Jake (Hudson West) showed up at GH to tell Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) that he was with Charlotte the night before. He lied that he was with his friend and felt guilty, so he decided to fess up. He also worried that Liz would see selfies of them that Charlotte posted to social media. He admitted he likes everything about the Cassadine teen, especially the fact that she likes him.

When Anna and Portia (Brook Kerr) ran into one another at GH, Portia took the opportunity to apologize to Anna for the way she treated her when Anna visited with Curtis (Donnell Turner) for a chat. Yes, she was still angry, but she realized she didn’t need to lash out at Anna like she did. However, she had no issue with lashing out at Sonny (Maurice Benard) when she spotted him worrying about Drew (Cameron Mathison).

Sonny soon found Anna in the chapel crying. Anna didn’t seem surprised when Sonny told her he was beginning to doubt the life he chose for himself.

Drew’s In Bad Shape

When Dex (Evan Hofer) told Sonny the news about Drew, he took off to the hospital to check on his condition. When he saw Carly (Laura Wright), he wanted to lend his support, but she just blamed him because Sonny promised Drew protection and clearly didn’t deliver. Sonny assured her that Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) would get Drew released, and Carly wondered if he’d even live long enough till then.

He hadn’t regained consciousness since the paramedics brought him into GH. She was also angry that Drew was sentenced to prison for a crime he committed just because of a mean judge. Later, Elizabeth terrified Carly when she told her Drew needed surgery to make sure a broken rib didn’t puncture his heart.

Poor Jake was also distraught when he heard the news about the man he once thought of as his father and insisted he stay at the hospital with Elizabeth to await word on his condition.

Good News All Around

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) met for their lunch meeting at Charlie’s, where Brook Lynn asked to sign Blaze as her first client in her music management career. She had a whole plan in mind to boost Blaze’s public profile and get her out there again after laying low for a few months. Brook Lynn’s enthusiasm was appealing to Blaze, so she agreed to sign on with barely a thought.

Blaze explained that she’d spent the last few months going to a support group and recovering emotionally from all Linc did to her. She was grateful to BLQ for exposing Linc and “canceling” him.

Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) paid a visit to Kristina (Kate Mansi) at Charlie’s and told her all about Molly’s (Brooke Anne Smith) surrogate being pregnant. Kristina was shocked but couldn’t manage to be ecstatic about the news. Alexis asked Kristina to be supportive, and she agreed, but Kristina was hurt that Molly didn’t tell her on her own. She couldn’t understand why Molly didn’t seem to want a relationship with her.

Molly made her way to the hospital to tell TJ (Tajh Bellow) they were going to be parents. Andrea was pregnant, and everything was going according to plan. Curtis was there for the news and was overjoyed for his nephew.
