General Hospital reveals spoilers It will be decided by Ava Jerome (Maura West) that she does not want Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) to return.
Nikolas will undoubtedly soon return from the “dead” and want to reconcile with his ex-wife. Recall that Nikolas had threatened to separate Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) from Ava before she struck him in the head.
Ava Will Not Want Nikolas Back
First, when Ava discovers the truth about how Nikolas was purposefully kept alive, she will want to deal with Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) betrayal for keeping this from her.

Ava, of course, will also have to deal with Nikolas. The primary reason why Mr. and Mrs. Cassadine were separated was that he slept with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), and she became pregnant with his baby.
Nikolas Went Too Far
Ava from General Hospital was able to accept that Nikolas had slept with Esme, but she could not accept that he had fathered her kid.
As retaliation, Ava sent Nicholas Alexander Chavez’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) Spencer Cassidine a tape of him confessing to killing Esme.
After a violent argument with Ava, Esme unintentionally tripped over the parapet.
To aid Spencer in obtaining custody of the child when it was born, she gave him the recording. Naturally, Nikolas was indignant to learn that Ava had stabbed him in the back.
When Nikolas confronted Ava, he told her he would even the score by taking Avery away from her. Determined to stop him at all costs, she hit him with a statue on the back of the head.
This hit caused him to pass out. Thinking he was dead, Ava hid him in the barn. However, it turned out Nikolas was not so dead, and when Ava went to show Austin Nikolas’s dead body, he had disappeared.
When Nikolas Returns
‘General Hospital’ spoilers point out that there will be fireworks when Nikolas returns. Knowing Nikolas, he will plead with Ava for her to stay with him, and she will tell him to hit the bricks.
