General Hospital spoilers gush that Dr. Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) may be making his way back to Port Charles soon, and when he does, we’ll be on pins and needles wondering why.
Following Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) passing, Griffin departed, and many of his admirers have been itching for him to come back to continue his romance with Ava Jerome (Maura West).
Ava is undoubtedly in a great position for someone to see her as a damsel in distress and pull her out of it, but is Griffin truly the person? What purpose would Griffin actually have in town if he wasn’t returning to revive his relationship with Ava?
Ava Jerome Can Take Care Of Herself
Whether she likes it or not, Ava has become immune to the intentions of any man at this point. To a certain extent, she will always trust Griffin, but she has long since gone over the heartache he caused her. They’ve already made peace with each other, so there are no more wounds to lick.
Ultimately, she caused a great deal of harm to both him and Kiki. More importantly, though, Ava’s life is now in a different place.
She is capable of taking care of herself and doesn’t require a man to make her life or her wounded heart whole. Griffin’s likely return to town isn’t to make amends with Ava, at least not in that sense.
Suggest Family Comes First
Many fans forget that Griffin has family ties that bind in Port Charles. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was once married to Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan), who was Griffin’s late biological father whom he never met.
Anna and Griffin bonded in the overdue aftermath of Duke’s passing, and they formed a friendship that was more than just friendship. They were family — even if they never knew it when Duke was still alive and Anna was still married to him.
Rumor has it their “more than just friends” relationship will manifest into a whole new form in 2024 though.
Will Griffin Munro Be Anna Devane’s Rebound?
If Griffin and Ellie Trout (Emily Wilson) have a falling out, he might be on the rebound himself when he returns to town. He might find himself curling up next to Anna to offer consolation and feeling valuable once more for making her otherwise gloomy countenance smile.
Because of the lies told by Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), Anna shot Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez), shattering her world. Could Griffin become more than just someone to weep on?
