Genoa City is undoubtedly changing, and “General Hospital” (GH) spoilers are interested. Should the current experimental couple on the show, Cameron Mathison’s Drew Cain and Laura Wright’s Carly Spencer, be heading for dissolution?
Since Drew left Pentonville, things have been intensifying, and he has made the decision to kill Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) entirely. However, Drew has himself and Nina has wealthy and powerful people.
We adore Drew, but ever since he volunteered to be Carly’s lapdog, his behavior has changed to one of sycophant, putting Carly’s needs before of his own.
On the flip side, we love seeing Carly’s actually trying to move on from her and Nina’s feud and break the cycle.
Though she let herself be pulled in one more time and that’s going to cost her.
Holding on
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers aren’t going to get into how Drew’s been willing to sacrifice his family to help Carly, or how is losing Oscar Nero-Quartermaine (Garren Stitt) to cancer should’ve made him appreciate his daughter as more than someone to forget about in his efforts to save Carly.
But we’re going to focus on his need for revenge on Nina for turning them in, while he’s forgetting he choose not to fight the charges, he chose to throw himself on his sword for Carly, and he’s the one that did a poor job at spying that got him attacked.
He’s barely been holding onto his sanity and focusing on Nina seems to give him what he needs to stay present, but now Carly’s grown tired of him and will start aggressively questioning him.
Et tu, Carly?
After being so arrogant and please with herself to watch Drew oust Nina from Crimson, having Nina come back as the publisher of the Invader seemed to shake Carly.
For the first time, it really got her that Nina isn’t going away and she questioned Drew on why he doesn’t just leave her alone and move on.
Everyone knows that by continuing to antagonize her, Drew will only give Nina more reason to fight.
We expect this will back Drew into a corner as she’ll catch him off guard, but he’ll rely on the tried and true “she hurt me!”
Similar to how Carly and everyone else, except for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), claimed that Nina had lost everything, Drew has gone a bit too far in adhering to the Cult of Carly’s Kool-Aid.
If Drew pursues Nina further, we doubt Carly will want to stay with him; based on how this plays out, she may decide to leave up Crimson and return to Bobbie’s.
It will be good that she will have in mind her intention to honor her mother.
Will Drew wake up and get his act together, or will Carly dump him? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below, and return often to ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers for the most recent rumors, spoilers, and news.
