Spoilers for General Hospital hint that the ruling class is waiting for another lightning strike! Lane Davies has been cast in the program as Fergus Byrne, who has a questionable relationship with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
Longtime viewers of the soap opera are aware that Davies is best known for creating the character of Mason Capwell on Santa Barbara, where he and Grahn, who played Julia Wainwright in the 1980s, were a supercouple.
Davies played the part from 1984 until 1989, at which point Terry Lester and then Gordon Thompson replaced Davies as Mason.
Alexis Davies And Nancy Lee Grahn Have Teamed Up On General Hospital Before!
Before Cameron was killed off in 2004, Davies portrayed Dr. Cameron Lewis on General Hospital from 2002 to 2004. During that time, he shared scenes alongside Grahn. William Lipton’s character Cameron Webber is named after Davies’s previous role.
Fans of daytime television may also remember Davies from his tenure as Ridge Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful in 1992, or from his stint as Evan Whyland on Days of Our Lives. Davies has also acted in a number of prime-time roles.
Who Was Neil Byrne?
Alexis was once involved with Dr. Neil Byrne (Joe Flannigan). Neil was a therapist who fell in love with Alexis while she was his patient.
Alexis ended their professional relationship so they could be together but they didn’t wait for the required amount of time before they began dating.
Neil was given a hearing and Alexis lied under oath that they weren’t together. But Alexis’ perjury was discovered which resulted in Neil losing her license to practice medicine.
Alexis was also prohibited from practicing law. Unfortunately, Neil was murdered in Alexis’ bed after they made love by Harmony (Inga Cadranel).
Fergus Byrne May Have Had A Part In Alexis Davis Losing Her License!
Neil’s older brother Fergus Byrne recoiled from the spotlight, yet he was on the board that voted to disbar Alexis.
Fergus will probably come back now that Alexis is contesting the ruling to make sure she doesn’t get her license back.
But once Fergus and Alexis meet up in person, things are probably going to get messy. Even if Alexis had a relationship with his brother in the past, maybe they will still be drawn to each other right away!
