According to General Hospital spoilers, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) is notorious for being unable to keep a secret, and her loose lips may be the downfall of Martin “Marty” Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) reputation with the SEC. When Marty reported Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to the SEC for insider trading, he was merely carrying out his duty as an agent for a client.
Even so, nobody is aware that Marty was even involved, and bringing this up would bring Marty and his entire clientele into the spotlight. But when someone attacks Marty at the very end and Lucy loses her cool, she won’t hesitate to reveal Marty as the tipster’s ally.
Lucy Coe Opens Her Big Mouth
Despite her good intentions, Lucy’s fierce loyalty to Marty leads her to say things she shouldn’t. When someone attacks Marty, Lucy can’t resist defending him and clearing his name.
Unfortunately, this includes outing him as the tipster to the SEC, which raises suspicions about one of his clients being the real whistleblower. The question on everyone’s mind will be: who could it be?
Tease Nina Reeves Will Be Frantic
General Hospital rumors indicate that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) would be horrified when she finds out about Lucy’s error. She will be concerned about Marty’s client list being examined in addition to the possibility that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), who is now mistaking himself for Eddie Maine, may recall the details of the dispute he saw Nina and Marty have right before Marty’s accident at the Metro Court.
If Ned’s memories resurface, Nina’s own secrets could be exposed. Her future with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) would most certainly be dashed, and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) would never forgive her for going against her wishes and striking back at Carly.
Nina Reeves Drags Valentin Cassadine Into Her Mess
Thankfully, Nina has a powerful ally in Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), another one of Marty’s clients. Valentin owes Nina a lot, and she never imagined she would want to collect from him.
However, when she finds herself in a desperate situation and fearing that she’ll lose the love of her life and her daughter, she knows that Valentin will be the only person who can help her out.
All Valentin ever wanted for Nina was for her to find her daughter. Now that she has, he may agree to step in and take the blame as the SEC tipster if it will secure Nina’s hope for a relationship with Willow.
Lucy’s unintentional actions have a habit of causing trouble for Valentin and taking the heat for Nina could land him in hot water with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
Additionally, when Sonny begins to piece this puzzle together, he’ll question whether it’s not just a little too convenient that Valentin only acknowledged being the whistleblower after Marty was revealed to be involved.
Sonny is aware that Nina spoke with Marty on the day of the significant tip-off. Even though Sonny won’t have evidence, it will appear as though Valentin is covering for Nina, despite his want to deny it to himself.
