General Hospital Spoilers: Maurice Benard Says, “No More Babies” For Sonny Corinthos

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may be a mob boss criminal, but General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that he adores his kids.

Even though, Sonny’s baby mommas can cause the most drama, as is the case with the most recent pickle Ava Jerome (Maura West) is in and the way Sonny is getting her out of it.

In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest (SOD), actor Maurice Benard discussed everything Sonny, including the complexities of his family and kids.

Sonny Corinthos Loves His Kids So Much, He’ll Go Above & Beyond For His Baby Mommas

Maurice considers how good it is that Sonny and Ava now appreciate each other during his SOD interview.

She used to be treated “like dirt” by him, but he’s now prepared to go above and beyond to protect her.

The fact that Ava is also the mother of his daughter Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) accounts for a large portion of that.

Even then, despite Maurice’s satisfaction with the direction the plot is taking, the actor makes one very important point during their SOD talk.

Maurice Benard Is “DONE” With Sonny Corinthos Having Kids

Benard notes to SOD that it’s “a cool thing” that Sonny is helping Ava. He adds, that “whoever thought” of giving the mob boss so many children, came up with a “smart” concept because that is the main reason Corinthos is helping Jerome.

He also adds during that statement that he, Maurice, is “done” with Sonny having kids. Who could blame him?

On the one hand, Corinthos’ genealogy is incredibly fascinating. He had seven children: Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears), Avery, and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) as a “stepdaughter” in addition to Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig), who passed away in 2018.

He has to “watch over” Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), along with three other new mothers: Ava, Oliva Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), and Alexis Davis (Nancy Grahn Lee). Alexis would probably argue that she doesn’t want any security guards from Sonny, though. Sonny seems to have his hands full with the kids he has, so perhaps Maurice is right when he says he’s “done”.
