General Hospital spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (soon to be ex-Mrs. Corinthos, played by Cynthia Watros) has been pushing Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to incorporate a gossip column to the Invader.
Nina Will Find Out That Sonny Believes Jason Is Guilty
Nina is only considering herself; she isn’t considering what would be appropriate for the magazine. In this scenario, she feels that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), her estranged husband, has harmed her. How can she use the press to spread lies and slander about him?
Nina quickly learns that Sonny shot Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and feels that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has been attempting to kill him.
She has the brilliant idea to publish a negative piece about Jason because she believes it would help her win Sonny back. She believes that her self-serving motive and callous manner will get her what she wants.
Nina was horrified when the Invader ran a piece about Sonny and even tried to go personally to find him to tell him that she had nothing to do with it. But it isn’t easy to imagine that Sonny would even care.
Sonny kicked Nina to the curb when he learned she tipped off the SEC to Carly Spencer‘s (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain‘s (Cameron Mathison) insider trading.Nina is skating on thin ice, as Sonny has made it clear that he wants nothing to do with her. Nina just doesn’t know when to quit. She will be relentlessly scheming to get Sonny to “notice her,” as she told Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) about her endless pursuit.
Nina Wants Sonny to Notice Her
Nina has the perfect opportunity to get Sonny to notice her. She plans to publish a piece about how Jason shot a cop in cold blood and was after Sonny.
Nina will try to turn the whole town against him, and she will succeed in turning more than a few heads, but the people who know and love Jason will defend him forever.
Alexis will be the first person to tell Nina where she can go and how to get there. She will be livid that Nina used the paper to her advantage.
Alexis will likely decide that she doesn’t want to work with Nina, and she may pursue the avenue Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennessy) suggested and try to get her law license back.
Will Nina Finally be Held Accountable?
It would be a long shot but poetic justice if Alexis left the Invader to Nina, became a lawyer again, and proved that Jason was innocent, making Nina look utterly ridiculous for using the paper to go after him.
Sonny, sadly for Nina, will not be amused by her schemes. This can cause Sonny to wonder why he assumes Jason is guilty so quickly. However, Nina’s harsh remarks will make Carly eager for a confrontation.
Brick (Stephen A. Smith) refers to Mrs. Corinthos as “the real Mrs. Corinthos,” and she is not scared to confront Nina because she will not put up with her spiteful behavior.
It’s likely that Nina’s intentions to employ the Invader will backfire, embarrassing her in public. There is going to be a major mess, no matter what.
