It appears that “Jarly” will remain a friend-zone for the time being, as the writers don’t seem interested in delving into a love relationship between Carly and Jason.
This may indicate that Jason and Sam have a higher chance of running into each other again in the future—in fact, it’s possible that they are already on their way to getting back together.
Even while they may not be aware of it yet, their conflict may be masking a strong soulmate bond because, the last time Jason returned, they ended up getting back together.

The whole reason that Jason and Sam fell apart before, is because she got a taste of a stable and safer life with Drew and didn’t want to return to danger.

In the end, Sam and Jason can find themselves in dangerous situations. It would be a dramatic turn of events if the show opted to bring Jason and Sam back together and rekindle their old feelings.
Maybe there will be a kissing moment where they can’t have, making Sam wonder what her real thoughts are.
Alternatively, it can be decided to awaken Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan), Dante’s true love, from her coma, causing a plethora of turmoil to surround them and their children!
