This GH love story is only going to get better.
If GH spoilers were to go down a predictable, cliché path, then Trina and Spencer’s magical night in New York City would instantly lead to pregnancy. On the one hand, this might pull Spencer’s focus from his obsession with his little brother and onto a child of his own. On the other hand, is that really something this young couple needs at this point in their lives?
GH Spoilers Speculation: Don’t Go There
Absolutely not is the overwhelming answer there. Let’s start with the obvious: Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) may be an entitled, spoiled brat who just assumes the world will work out the way he wants it because he’s rich and he wants it, and isn’t that just how life is? But Trina (Tabyana Ali) is not only more levelheaded, she is also a whole lot smarter. Trina knows about things like birth control — which most Port Charles residents seem utterly oblivious to. Why else would Sonny (Maurice Benard) have so many children?
Not Here, Not Now
But the most important reason for Trina and Spencer to not face a pregnancy right now — beyond them both knowing where babies come from — is it’s too early in their relationship. They just had sex. They’re still getting to know each other. They’re enjoying being young, in love, and carefree.
Plenty Where That Came From
Except they’re not exactly carefree. They already have plenty of obstacles. There’s Trina’s mother. Portia (Brook Kerr) hates Spencer and would love to break them up. There’s Spencer’s ex, Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl). She may have had a baby with Spencer’s dad, but Spencer is treating Ace like he’s the daddy.
Which is already a distraction from Trina. Fighting baby with a baby is a bad strategy. And, frankly, it’s beneath Trina. She is a young woman with a brilliant future ahead of her (Portia isn’t wrong about that). Having a kid now, even with a rich daddy, would only slow her down…and chain her to Spencer for the long haul for all the wrong reasons.
