General Hospital’s Spencer Cassadine doesn’t have much in the way to celebrate, considering the fact that he is still living with Esme in order to have access to his baby brother, despite how it may be hurting his girlfriend Trina. However, actor Nicholas Alexander Chavez has a milestone worth getting.
General Hospital: Happy Birthday, Nicholas Alexander Chavez
And that’s because he was born on September 6, 1999, in Houston, Texas, which means this talented daytime newcomer turns 24 years old! Though General Hospital is Chavez’s first onscreen credit, he came to daytime with oodles of training.
He’s a graduate of the Mason Gross School of the Arts Acting Conservatory in New Brunswick, NJ, and he studied commercial acting at Killian’s Workshop in Los Angeles and acting at Visionbox Studio Theatre in Denver, CO.
On July 1, 2021, Nicholas Alexander Chavez made his GH debut. It was ultimately discovered that the character was actually a recast of Spencer Cassadine, who was last portrayed by Nicolas Bechtel in 2020, despite his character introducing himself to Trina Robinson (then Syndey Mikayla) as Victor.
Upon his introduction, Chavez has seen Spencer through various reunions with friends and family…and his most hated foe: Ava (Maura West), whom he harassed for months. His longing for a life with Trina (Tabyana Ali) is what drives him.
In his spare time, Chavez enjoys indulging in various sports, including football, skateboarding, snowboarding, swimming, and tennis, as well as perfecting a number of accents. So far, his repertoire includes Australian, British, Cockney, French, German, Irish, and Southern.
