General Hospital (GH) teasers suggest that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will be seriously disturbed up in the coming days and weeks as a result of his “out of body” experience.
Fans and other Port Charlians find it difficult to believe that the former crime lord has changed since his time in prison, despite the fact that he appears to have turned to God. After all, he is a skilled manipulator as well. Will anything alter going forward?
Cyrus Renault Is Trying To Be A Better Person
In spite of being transported to prison in the summer of 2021, Cyrus made irregular appearances and continued to try to cause trouble for a few Port Charles residents for months.
Having stated that, Renault started reading the Bible and praying in the spring and summer of 2022.
After that, he seemed more composed. He appeared to be a different Cyrus, but Laura Collins (Genie Francis) found it difficult to accept her half-brother’s sincere motives because he had been an evil thorn in her side for so long.
Still, while behind bars, he did help Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) while he was in a pinch and in prison, so it did look like Cyrus was on the road to redemption.
Learning His Afterlife Fate Will Push Him To Become Better
It takes a lot more than just memorizing Bible verses to get to Heaven, and unless Cyrus wants to be locked behind bars in H-E- (double hockey sticks) for eternity, his brush with the afterlife was a major wake-up call.
Renault will reportedly boost his Christian efforts to make sure he encounters his Lord and Savior the next time death knocks on his door. This involves making amends to everyone he offended.
What extraordinary lengths will Renault take to prove to his friends, family, and God that he’s a new man? Cyrus’ “road to redemption” will presumably coincide with Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) current job in jail.
