GH Spoilers: Brook Lynn Frantic, Ned Doesn’t Even Remember Her Mom?

Spoilers and news for General Hospital tease When Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) learns that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) doesn’t even remember her mother, she will be distraught. Ned, who has suffered a traumatic brain injury, thinks he is Eddie Maine, his stage persona, but he can’t even recall Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer)!

Ned Quartermaine Doesn’t Remember Anyone

It is so odd that Ned remembered the correct year and city, but not Brook Lynn, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) or Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) or Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda). Leo was frightened and hurt, and doesn’t know how to get his dad back, and neither do Brook Lynn, Olivia or Tracy.

TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) was planning to put a team of neurologists and psychiatrists together to see what could be done, if anything, but obviously part of Ned’s brain sustained damage.

It may be a long road to hoe for the Quartermaines, until they get their family member back-and Brook Lynn thinks maybe humoring him might help him find his way. She digs up his old costumes and shows him, and finds his old records and plays them on her phone-all to no avail, oddly.

A Zoom Call With Mom?

It seems Ned knows his stage name Eddie Maine, but nothing associated with his career-he doesn’t recognize his stage costumes or his records. Brook Lynn is frantic and wonders if she sets up a Zoom call with her mom and him if that would help.

According to General Hospital spoilers, Lois can’t believe her ears when Brook Lynn tells her what happened – and that Ned remembers nothing but his stage name, the year and the name of Port Charles. They’ve been divorced for many years but she hopes some memory she talks about might jog at least his past memories, but even that doesn’t work-neither does old video.

It does seem very bizarre, that he doesn’t recognize anything from that time when he had a secret life as a rock star, not even his daughter’s mother!

Medicine May Have To Be The Answer

Ned is fortunate to still be alive because he genuinely had a cardiac arrest and needed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or CPR. TJ believes that medicine will be the solution and that the neurologic and psychiatric experts who have been brought in to work with him will be able to recover him.

One has to wonder if Ned had some sort of terrible break that caused him to repress so many memories, or if it has since vanished.

Will Ned ever be able to recall who he is, what he has done, and what each person means to him, or will he need to be taught? If he has to be taught, will he be open to it or will he resist learning?
