General Hospital spoilers reveal that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is starting to figure out what is wrong with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Carly Knows Ava Is A Bad Influence On Sonny
Carly went to see Sonny at his penthouse and told him it wasn’t safe for Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) to be there with him.
She’s aware that Ava Jerome (Maura West) is a bad influence on Sonny, and she doesn’t want her daughter anywhere near whatever’s going on between them. Carly also expressed her fears that Sonny would turn Donna against her.
In Sonny’s undermedicated mind, he thinks Carly betrayed him and she’s trying to turn everyone against him.
Finding out that Carly hired Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to protect and keep an eye on him didn’t exactly go over well.
But it doesn’t help that Sonny is only receiving about a quarter of the correct dose of his bipolar medicine.
It’s making him angry and throwing around accusations like confetti at a birthday party. He’s also paranoid and irrational, which is not the mark of a man in control.
Carly called him on the carpet, and she had to have a moment of pause. Finally, someone besides Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) thought to ask him about his medication.
That’s when Cunning Carly went to the bathroom (as we predicted) to check Sonny’s prescription. She wanted to see proof that he was still on his mental health regime. Carly then asked Sonny all the right questions to determine that.
When he became hostile, she even suggested he call his pharmacist. Carly also wants him to get his blood drawn to make sure he’s at a therapeutic level and to find out if the doctor should adjust the dose. Sonny refuses and tells Carly to leave, so she does.
Carly Wonders If History Is Repeating Itself
Carly knows Ava is manipulating Sonny, and she’s milking her stay at Casa de Corinthos for all it’s worth. It won’t take long before Carly realizes Ava may be responsible for Sonny’s medicine being off.
Years ago, Ava switched Morgan Corinthos‘s (Bryan Craig) medicine with placebos, and it led to his death. He went off the rails and stole Julian Jerome‘s (William DeVry) car and was blown up by a car bomb meant for Julian.
Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) wanted her brother to die, but instead, Morgan was the casualty. It’s only a matter of time before Carly and Ava have an epic showdown.
Carly and Ava have a lot of bad blood between them. Carly has never forgotten what Ava did to Morgan, and now she’s afraid for Sonny because of his illness.
Carly is one smart cookie. She will be the one to put the pieces of the puzzle together and see the truth about Ava. Carly already knows what Ava is capable of, and Ava is the first person anyone will suspect.
Whether she teams up with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) or Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) to suss out what Ava’s motives are or if she does her detective work, Carly’s one step away from having that long-awaited confrontation with Ava about Sonny’s medication.
