For months, General Hospital rumors have teased that Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) “mystery boss” has actually been a female. Or so the supporters believed. Viewers have been guessing on who the mysterious boss lady could be since a female reference was made a while ago. Theories range from Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) to Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck), and everyone in between.
However, with one lapse of judgment during a recent scene, audience theories have now drastically changed.
Turns Out “She’s” A “He”
Few were missed As “nanny” Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) saw Mason argue with his cousin Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) in the hospital’s office, viewers of General Hospital (GH) were unaware of the significant narrative twist that occurred in th at episode on August 14.
Gatlin said he has no idea why “the boss” needs details about Sonny and Pikeman, but if “he” wants it, you can guarantee “he’s” going to get it when Mason questioned him about it.
All of a sudden, supporters are no longer conjecturing about a villainous woman; instead, Mason’s secret boss is suddenly a “villain”—a male.
Could There Be A Dynamic Duo Orchestrating Things?
Now, there could be a male-female duo here, where Mason refers to both as “the boss”. Then again, maybe the male boss is married to Mason’s mom, which is where the original female reference of the mystery person came from.
Mason and Austin are related as cousins since Austin is connected to Charity Gatlin (Gloria Carlin), Mason’s mother, by their shared ancestry. Maybe the “she” Mason and Austin were originally referring to was Charity if she had a sister.
However, it’s difficult to help but question if this “mystery boss” is a familiar face to fans or if this villain is a fresh face. Jeff Kober’s Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) made his debut on the General Hospital (GH) canvas and quickly established roots in the small community of Port Charles. It will be intriguing to see how this plot develops.
