Spoilers for General Hospital indicate The heartbreaking information concerning Sasha Gilmore Corbin’s mother-in-law, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), is about to be revealed, played by Sofia Mattson. Sasha believed that during the final year of her life, she could turn to Gladys for support and courage. But as it turns out, Gladys has committed a number of errors rather than just one. Unfortunately, they are all at Sasha’s expense, and she will pay a price that goes beyond simple financial loss. Gladys’ theft from her and frequent lies to her will break Sasha’s heart since it shows how little she valued her. Gladys has dug herself a hole that will be impossible to escape from at this point. Maybe Sasha shouldn’t deal with her at all?
Selina Wu’s Efforts Fail As Sonny Corinthos Steps In
Recently on General Hospital, we saw Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and Gladys get into it at the Metro Court pool. When Selina Wu (Lydia Look) walked in, everything changed. Cody was unsuccessful at beating Gladys into a confession — but she let him rattle off his plan while knowing the entire time that he was lying. It turns out, Cody is a better bluff at the poker table.
Bradford Anderson’s Damien Spinelli pretended to be able to trace Gladys’ location via her phone on the night of the Nurses’ Ball in an effort to support Cody. Gladys didn’t bring her phone to the ball that evening, so she obviously knew better. In an effort to defuse the situation, Selina intervened and spoke up for Greedy Gladys, knowing that she must avoid jail time in order to repay Selina for the $80,000 she owes her. Selina’s scheme will go awry when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) gets involved and begins nosing about.
Hint Sasha Corbin Will Be Devastated
Sonny will be the one to expose Gladys’ network of deceit. When he learns that his cousin owes the mafia queen a substantial quantity of money, he’s going to be first pretty concerned about why Selina is even involved in Gladys’ issue, but once he does, he’ll pass it off as Selina’s interest being wholly focused in obtaining what she’s entitled. Big error. Whatever the case, Sonny’s news about what her mother-in-law has been up to will hurt Sasha’s heart, and we anticipate that she will do whatever it takes to keep lying to herself about why Gladys did what she did.
Cody Bell Will Pick Up The Pieces
Have no fear, GH fans. Word on the street is that Cody is going to help Sasha get her life back on track after she suffers the effects of this massive betrayal. Since Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) death, Sasha has been walking hand-in-hand with Gladys. They lean on one another in hard times. They share too many bottles of wine into the late hours of the night, also sharing memories of Brando‘s life.
She thought she was going to move into the future with this one person as her rock — as her family. But she couldn’t have been more wrong. Cody hates that he had to be a part of the story that played out to prove this to Sasha, but he knows that it’s best that she knows the truth – and so does she. Moving forward, Sasha will regain control of her finances, but she might also regain control of her senses and start seeing Cody for who he really is — or at least who he’s trying to be.
