General Hospita spoilers suggest that we have seen the last of Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) as he dies peacefully in his sleep after reflecting on his life from childhood up to his son Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and his new bride, Brook Lynn Quartermaine‘s (Amanda Setton) wedding.
Gregory’s Bucket List Was Complete
After getting married, he told Chase that he had crossed everything off his bucket list. Chase undoubtedly realized that wouldn’t be possible, even if he told Gregory that he wanted his father to hold his firstborn child.
Following the nuptials, he expressed his regret to Michael Easton’s character Hamilton Finn for having insulted his son regarding his previous affair with Kim Delaney’s character Jackie Templeton.
Before going to bed, Gregory also shared some very endearing moments with Jophielle Love’s Violet Finn. Before he passed out for the last time, he even got the opportunity to joke around with his son.
Gregory’s death is heartbreaking and sad for those who love him, but soon after his passing, Brook Lynn and Chase may receive the best wedding gift from Gregory they could imagine.
Brook Lynn may soon discover she’s pregnant with Chase’s baby, and the newlyweds could find a special way to honor Gregory’s memory. If they have a son, they could name him after Gregory.
If they have a girl, they can come up with a name similar to Gregory. For example, the name Greer is the feminine version of Gregory, as both mean “watchful.” Or Rory, which can be a nickname for Gregory.
Whatever the case, the baby will be a blessing and bring so much joy to the family after the tragedy of Gregory’s passing.
An Amazing Family Legacy
Even though Gregory will never get to meet his precious new grandchild, Brook Lynn and Chase will be sure to tell them enough stories about him and his courage to fill a book.
The arrival of this tiny miracle will also give the Quartermaines a new family member to dote on. Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) will adore the new baby, as it will not only be her great-grandchild but also a reminder of one of the dearest friends she’s ever had.
Although Brook Lynn is a tried-and-true Quartermaine, she’s not about to allow her kids to be too spoiled by the Q clan. The parents-to-be have already discussed this. They want their children to grow up as wonderful people who don’t take the little things for granted.
The contented couple is aware of the kind of life they wish to provide for their kids, and part of that will involve ensuring that they are aware of their entire family—even the members who are no longer living with them.
It appears like Brook Lynn and Chase are being positioned to succeed John Ingle’s Edward Quartermaine and Anna Lee’s Lila Quartermaine.
Together, the two characters will leave behind a wonderful family legacy for their offspring. They can begin by naming their infant son or daughter Gregory.
After Gregory’s passing, it would be a really nice move for GH to add some happy news to the plot. Perhaps the time is right to do it with a new baby.
