Hints for General Hospital spoilers This summer, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is set to endure a significant fall, and he’ll recover strongly. The news that the original mob boss is returning to his roots has delighted fans of the less sweet, older Sonny. Sonny is about to experience anger, depression, and yes, love for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), as the other people he thought he cared about choose to ignore him all for their own gain. Will anyone survive, or is Carly doomed to stand alone on Sonny’s side once more?
Betrayal Bites
Sonny has always been the biggest supporter of loyalty. Family and being devoted to those we claim to care about are the two things that mean most to him. Therefore, he won’t anticipate it when his own family deserts him. First up, it’s not exactly obvious what Josslyn “Joss” Jacks (Eden McCoy) wants in terms of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) being freed from the mob. She wants to seize every chance that comes her way.
So she’s going to push Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to give Carly the video footage of the Pikeman Group deal in hopes that she will use it to roll over on Sonny and get herself out of this SEC mess. Then, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) will kick Sonny while he’s down as she helps Selina Wu (Lydia Look) stage a kidnapping — or Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattson) — just to swindle a ransom out of Sonny’s back pocket as a means of clearing Galdys’ poker debts. To make matters worse, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will be the cherry on top when he learns she’s the whole reason the mother of his children is at risk of going to prison. Sonny isn’t just going to bounce back from these betrayals; he’s going to bounce back to his old ways.
Suggest Carly And Sonny Corinthos Find Their Way Home
With everyone else turning on him — including his own fianceé — Sonny is going to be left feeling all alone. But of course, he isn’t. Carly won’t turn him into the Justice Department no matter how much he insists upon it. But he doesn’t want his children to grow up without their mother; he would rather take her place and miss out on the rest of their lives. The exchange of a few years for her versus the rest of his just doesn’t make sense to Carly. Sonny might have thought he left anger and resentment in the past, but he’s going to be so low that we will see him return to the bold and smoldering angry mobster so many of us miss. That’s going to leave Carly with serious anxiety as she tries to keep his mood swings at bay. As these exes begin to spend more time together in the wake of Nina’s undoing, it’s going to be clear they are headed for a reunion. Sorry, haters!
Carly Spencer Has Company
It might sound like Carly is going to be the only person holding Sonny up during these hard times, but someone else has been in his corner for a while now — and it’s actually not a ruse. Dex may have signed up for this gig as a means to take down a mobster, but now he’s in this — and he’s fallen for the guy. Seeing another side to Sonny, Dex is relieved that Michael laid down his torch to take him down. Will he stand by him when the truth comes out? If so, where does that leave him and Joss? Moreover, how will Dex take to the new — albeit old — version of Sonny who emerges? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just around the corner.
