Why does Adam remind us so much of resident GH mobster Sonny?
Sonny Corinthos is a very, very fertile man on General Hospital. He slept with Carly once — he didn’t even like her then — and got her pregnant (the first time). His wife, Lily, was pregnant when she died. He had a son with Olivia he only met as an adult. He had a daughter with Alexis after a one-night stand. And, a daughter with Ava after a one-night stand. Also, two more kids with Carly. Sonny’s offspring are constantly popping out of the woodwork. Are there more? We have a very obvious next candidate!
Sonny Corinthos: Look Alike
We don’t know what it is about Josslyn’s (Courtney Fulk) dorm mate, Adam (Joshua Benard), but he just reminds us of a young Sonny (Maurice Benard). Go figure, right? We know, we know, Adam has a mother and father. Ones who put so much pressure on him, that he is constantly losing it and rushing to Joss to kiss his emotional boo-boos and make them better.
Do we know for sure that they are Adam’s biological parents? (Heck, we don’t even know that they’re putting all that much pressure on him. We only have his word for it. For all we know, he is lying through his teeth to get Joss to feel sorry for him.)
Round Up the Usual Suspects
Adam could be adopted. He could be Sonny’s son. Now, if Sonny is his biological father, then who is his mother? Sure, it could be some random woman we’ve never heard about before. But, what’s the fun in that? Especially when we have the perfect candidate…Hannah Scott!

Who is Hannah Scott? Hannah is the FBI agent who was sent in to bring down Sonny. She looked a lot like his ex-loves, Brenda (Vanessa Marcil) and Lily (Lilly Melgar), so they figured he’d be vulnerable to her charms. What they forgot was that all women are required by law to fall for Sonny. And, Hannah was no exception. She fell for Sonny.
When he found out that she and Dad Roy (A Martinez) were plotting against him, he threw Hannah out and she eventually left town. Pregnant? Naturally, she wouldn’t want to keep Sonny’s child and have to tell the boy how she’d betrayed his saintly, noble father. So, she gave him up for adoption. Oh, and when was Hannah on the canvas? About 20 years ago…yeah, we did the math!
