Home and Away has added Eden and Levi Fowler’s sister Abigail to its core cast.
The soap has confirmed that newcomer Hailey Pinto will arrive on-screen later this year as Abigail Fowler, who is described as “sassy, confident and headstrong”.
Her self-assured personality hides a complex and poignant backstory for the character, which will slowly be rolled out as viewers learn about her struggles.
Hailey’s Home and Away role came from her first-ever TV audition, after moving to Sydney from her native Switzerland to pursue acting.
Abigail’s arrival comes during a tumultuous time for her siblings, as Levi has been facing drama in his affair-turned-relationship with Mackenzie Booth.
Mac has struggled to trust Levi given how their relationship started, forcing him to question their future together unless she drops her suspicions.
Upcoming scenes will see Levi and Mackenzie’s lives on the line when Iluka Hudson’s enemies arrive in Summer Bay and take them hostage.
While Levi and Mackenzie’s lives are filled with drama on-screen, real-life cast members Tristan Gorey and Emily Weir recently shared their close friendship off-screen.
Elsewhere, Eden will consider leaving Summer Bay in upcoming scenes following her row with Felicity Newman. It will be up to Cash Newman to convince Eden to stay when she admits she has nothing left in Summer Bay.
