Mackenzie is shocked by Levi’s announcement that Abigail will be moving in with them. She’s furious that he sprung this on her without asking. Levi explains that having Abigail live with them is the only way he can keep an eye on her.
Mackenzie attempts to communicate to Levi and Abigail that she just needs to know what is going on under her roof, but the girls are off on the wrong foot. Despite his efforts, Levi can’t rein in the tension.
Even after a more civilised conversation with Abigail, Mackenzie can’t set aside her concerns around having a drug addict and thief living under her roof. Levi sits down with Abigail so they can work out how to move forwards. He suggests Abigail should make more effort to meet Mackenzie halfway and let her see the real Abigail, not just the Abigail that struggles with addiction.
Unfortunately, Abigail overhears a tense conversation between Mackenzie and Levi, where Mackenzie suggests he only wants to help Abigail because he can’t fix things with Eden. Stung, Abigail retreats. In the morning, Mackenzie makes breakfast for them all to share, but upon going outside to dine, Levi realises that his car is missing and they can’t find Abigail anywhere. Can Levi fix this?
Meanwhile, Perri and Tane unpack their things, keen to settle in and keep Cash company in the share house. Tane offers the bigger room to Perri, revealing that since he used to share it with Felicity, it’s best for Perri to take it.
Tane finds a letter for Perri in their mail, but it looks like it’s been hand delivered. Inside is a threatening note from Perri’s dad telling him not to testify against him. Tane seeks Mackenzie’s advice, worried that by pushing Perri to testify, he’s putting him in danger.
Elsewhere, Eden confronts Cash for his awkwardness at work, now that he’s her boss. She attempts to reassure him that the universe isn’t out to get him or the people that he loves. Eden questions why he’s giving up on their relationship but he’s adamant that it’s already over. She makes one last attempt at getting through to him, before handing him her engagement ring, defeated.
Later, Cash tries to get her to take the ring back, but she refuses, burned by his suggestion that she could sell it. She shows up at his house the next morning to let him know she’s resigning from Salt.
