Felicity Newman will clash with new love interest Rory Templeton in Home and Away.
It was recently announced that former Titans actor Joshua Orpin would be joining Summer Bay as Rory, the new leader of the River Boys criminal gang.
While Rory could have a fiery romance with Felicity, the two won’t get off on the right foot when they meet in upcoming scenes.
Rory shows up at the bookshop shortly after backing up the River Boys in their feud with the Allen family.
He doesn’t make the best first impression by wolf-whistling Kirby, Eden and Felicity from the balcony at Salt. Felicity confronts the bad boy but ends up charmed by him.
Eden encourages Felicity to give this rugged stranger a chance when he leaves his phone number behind.
Felicity shuts down Eden’s suggestion of a potential romance with Rory, but privately she can’t help but smile at his antics.
Meanwhile, Cash Newman is still waiting to hear back about his petition to rejoin the police force. He shares his frustrations with Rose Delaney, who promises to look into it.
Rose already knows that there are no open positions at Yabbie Creek, so she wonders whether Cash might consider a position elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Felicity is still thinking about Rory leaving his number. Eden enlists Cash to convince Felicity it’s time for a new romance – they both think she should call Rory.
Cash decides he too needs to be brave by taking the future of his career into his own hands. He resolves to call police HQ to push for a new position.
As the week unfolds, Cash’s phone call has succeeded in pushing along his application process. However, Cash gets bad news when Rose explains that Reefton Lakes has no open positions.
Cash eventually confides in Eden that the police have offered him back his old rank, but at Mangrove River – the worst precinct in the region.
This is the same area where the River Boys have a stronghold, leaving questions over whether Cash will regret encouraging Felicity to begin dating Rory.
These scenes air on Wednesday, August 14, Thursday, August 15, and Friday, August 16, on Channel 5 – they’ve already aired in Australia.
