Home and Away airs more trouble for Mackenzie Booth and Levi Fowler’s relationship on UK screens next week.
Mackenzie upsets Levi when she admits that she’s struggling to trust him – just weeks after they became a proper couple.
This week’s episodes see Mackenzie spot a potential red flag when she realises that Levi is still in contact with his estranged wife Imogen.
Although Imogen’s messages to Levi are hostile following their recent split, Mackenzie remains uneasy that he didn’t confide in her.
In a strained conversation, Levi admits to Mackenzie that he doesn’t know if their relationship has a future due to the lack of trust on her part.
Mackenzie is quick to point out that Levi lied to her about talking to his ex so her concerns are well-founded, but he insists that he was merely trying to protect her.
Later, Mackenzie confides in her friend and work colleague Xander Delaney over the situation. She admits that Levi is doubting their future after recent events.
Things get worse when Mackenzie heads to the Northern Districts Hospital, where she finds Levi supporting an attractive female patient. It’s a worrying reminder of how their own affair started when Levi was treating Mackenzie.
Mackenzie walks off and stays quiet about her anxiety for a few days. However, she later takes the honest approach by telling Levi that she was jealous when she saw him with the woman at the hospital.
Levi lays his cards on the table by telling Mackenzie that he can’t spend the rest of his life being tested by her. As Mackenzie finally promises to trust him, can they make this work or are they papering over the cracks?
