NCIS has almost reached a major milestone but fans are going to have to wait longer than expected for the 1000th episode to come out.
NCIS’ 21st season is well underway but when exactly will episode seven, the all-important 1000th episode, be released?
The CBS police procedural is going to be celebrating a big achievement with the franchise ready to release its 1000th episode over the past 22 years.
This includes not just the mothership drama but its spin-offs, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Hawaii and Sydney.
The instalment is expected to be particularly exciting with the news that both LA’s Kensi Blye (played by Daniela Ruah) and Hawaii’s Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) will be m aking appearances.
However, there is going to be a wait before this special episode comes out on the network.
When will NCIS season 21, episode 7 come out?
NCIS season 21, episode seven, was due to come out on Monday, April 7, on CBS but sadly no new episode is to air.
Instead, a re-run will be shown in its place, leaving viewers questioning just when they can expect the 1000th episode.
Thankfully, the wait won’t be too long as it is just a one-week hiatus, with episode seven coming out next week on Monday, April 15.
An official reason hasn’t been given for the delay but the series is shorter than usual with just 13 episodes, due to the Hollywood strikes last year.
So many shows, including the NCIS franchise, are slotting in scheduled breaks in order to reach May when the dramas typically come to an end, resuming normality.
Some details as to what’s going to happen in the special episode have been teased prior to the episode’s release date.
According to the synopsis, NCIS will come under attack by a “mysterious enemy from the past”.
As well as Kensi and Jane, another guest star will be welcomed into the fold.
Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) will be trying to mend his relationship with his son Jared Vance (Spencer Moore II).
He is reportedly going to delve into why he chooses to stay at the organisation, despite the dangers of the job.
Jared will be portrayed by actor Spencer Moore II who has previously been in Creed III and All American.
NCIS season 21 continues on Monday, April 15, on CBS.
