NCIS star Katrina Law is best known for playing Jessica Knight in the CBS drama but has given fans an insight to a career move away from the series.

NCIS star Katrina Law may currently be on a break from filming but she shared snaps from the premiere of her new short film.

Katrina and her husband Keith Andreen worked on Mayfly together and celebrated their achievement together.

She shared snaps of the premiere on her Instagram Story which included praise from her friend Vanessa Cater.

Alongside a picture of Vanessa posing with Katrina, she wrote: “@KatrinaLaw I’m so proud of you.

“Co-wrote, starred and produced @MayflyShortFilm & it’s amazing!

“You, @KeithAndreen & the rest of the cast/crew killed it! 27 min short.”

Mayfly follows a mysterious woman who breaks into the house of a best-selling self-help author and forces him to confront scars that he thought had long been healed.

The synopsis reads: “Best-selling self-help author Aaron Driscoll may look like a successful motivational speaker on the outside, but inside, he hides a dark secret, that he thought would remain buried deep in his past.

“After a long day of talk shows, book signings, and motivational speaking, he returns home to his mansion and passes out, only to be startled awake by what initially appears to be an obsessed fan holding him at gunpoint, demanding the truth about his shameful past, and forcing him into a painful reckoning that will either kill him or be his salvation.”

Katrina looked stunning on the red carpet for the event as she opted for an orange and pink midi dress.

The actress wore her caramel locks in loose bouncy waves and accessorised with gold hoop earrings.

Away from promoting her short film, Katrina has been showing her support for the actors’ strike in Hollywood.

She shared snaps from the picket line alongside her co-stars and captioned it: “Rinse and repeat!”

It comes after Daniela Ruah, who played fan favourite Kensi Blye, paid tribute to former co-star Pamela Reed who starred in season 14.

Daniela directed an episode with Pamela and praised: “Pamela’s wonderful. I wish I could put in every single take that she does.

“And then the end of the episode, [part of the conversation between Deeks and his mother] was written [but then she added some] improv.”
