NCIS’ Jessica Knight unexpectedly took on a job offer at the end of season 20, leaving fans confused about the agent’s future.
NCIS star Katrina Law is working on a project away from the drama after Jessica Knight’s season finale cliffhanger.
Agent Jessica Knight (played by Katrina Law) has been part of the team since 2021 with fans particularly enjoying watching her relationship with chief medical examiner Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) develop.
However, their romance had been put to the test in season 21 with cracks starting to show and when Jessica was offered a job by Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) on the other side of the country, she took it.
There have been concerns this could be the beginning of the end for her and Jimmy with questions over how much she will feature in the upcoming 22nd season.
The extent of her role has come into question since it was revealed that actress Katrina Law would be starring in another project away from the world of NCIS.
According to her IMDb profile, she will be starring in a horror movie entitled Werewolves which is currently in post-production.
Portraying a character called Dr Amy Chen, Werewolves will see “two scientists try to stop a mutation that turns people into werewolves after being touched by a super-moon the year before”.
She will be starring alongside some familiar faces as well, including Captain America star Frank Grillo.
The film will also feature Prodigal Son Lou Diamond Phillips, Billions’ Ilfenesh Hadera and The Office’s Sam Daly.
Law also isn’t currently listed to star in season 22 on her IMDb page which also makes fans question her involvement in the up-and-coming series.
But only time will tell if Jessica Knight is going to return to the team and continue her romance with Jimmy.
NCIS season 21 premieres on Monday, October 14 on CBS.
