Fans of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” all over the globe are still recovering from the battle of the titans between Sapphira Cristal and Nymhpia Wind last Friday during the epic finale of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” 16th season, but fear not: some of your favorite “Drag Race All Stars” are prepared to come roaring back to our screens very soon. And this time, they are returning in a way that we have never seen before.
“RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” Season 9 begins streaming exclusively on Paramount + with two all-new episodes on May 17. For this brand-new season, eight beloved queens “return to use their drag superpowers for good, competing to w in a supersized donation of $200,000, provided by The Palette Fund, for a charity of their choosing.” The Palette Fund is a private foundation that is “dedicated to breaking down barriers and advancing social change in communities that are under-resourced and facing significant challenges.”
This season is once again a landmark season, marking the first time in franchise herstory that our “All Stars” are competing for charity to win money for a variety of organizations. Additionally, brand-new episodes of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars: Untucked” also will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ on May 17, giving viewers a peek at the behind the scenes’ drama as the queens wait their fate on the runway each and every week.
The eight dynamic queens returning to “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” and the charities they have chosen to compete for are: Angeria Paris VanMichaels (National Black Justice Collective), Gottmik (Trans Lifeline), Jorgeous (National Alliance of Mental Illness), Nina West (The Trevor Project), Plastique Tiara (The Asian American Foundation), Roxxxy Andrews (Miracle of Love), Shannel (Anxiety and Depression Association of America) and Vanessa Vanjie (ASPCA).
