Vanderpump Rules Fans Call Out Lala Kent For Wearing The Same Dress That She Mocked Ariana Madix For Owning

Pregnant Lala Kent is getting called out for wearing the same dress that she once mocked Ariana Madix for owning back in 2021.

After sharing photos from her baby shower to Instagram on Sunday, eagle-eyed Vanderpump Rules fans pointed out that the reality star’s wardrobe choice was a bit ironic since she previously made fun of her costar, 39, for rocking the frock at Raquel Leviss’ engagement party.

During an episode of their reality show, which aired in 2022, Kent voiced her disapproval of Madix’s blue and white puff dress as she asked during a confessional: ‘Do I look like a b**ch that has puffy sleeves and a f**king tutu in my closet?’

Confirming they were the same dresses, in different colors, Kent tagged the brand Selkie, which sells the garment for $295.

Under Kent’s latest post, which shows her surrounded by pals including Scheana Shay and Brittany Cartwright as well as her daughter Ocean, three, haters couldn’t help but point out the TV personality’s hypocrisy.

‘ARIANAS DRESS,’ one wrote.

Another chimed in: ‘So you do own puffy sleeves and a tutu, interesting.’

‘Isn’t this the dress made fun of Ari for?’ a third asked.

A fourth declared: ‘I KNEW THE DRESS LOOKED FAMILIAR!’

In response to a TikTok, uploaded by content creator Stephanie Tleiji, about the situation, fans were divided over who ‘wore it best.’

Others in the comment section said this served as a reminder on why you should ‘never talk down on a style’ because ‘you never know what you’ll wear one day.’

A small handful stuck up for Kent as they said she looked ‘fabulous’ and that Madix ‘doesn’t own that dress.’

The costars seemingly got along during season 11 of their reality show, but Kent did voice frustration over Madix refusing to film with her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval.

‘I’m going to be real about Ariana. She coasts through every single f**king season. And we are asking you to have one conversation with Tom Sandoval — the guy you shoved down our throats for so many years,’ the star told the cameras.

She continued: ‘That guy, who you still live with. We are asking you to have one conversation and you can’t do that?’

Kent also claimed that ‘every single person’ on their show has had to have ‘tough conversations’ get filmed, except Madix.

Scheana, who is friends with Madix, that she ‘completely understood and respected’ her decision, but also struggled with filming with Sandoval again.

On the episode, Kent furiously ranted that she wasn’t ‘afraid’ to call out Madix or break the fourth wall.

‘S**t happened to her and the whole world rallied around her. She now thinks she is Beyoncé,’ the actress said. ‘It is bulls**t that she can’t film with someone that she stays under the same roof.’

Earlier during season 11, Kent also confronted Madix for not defending Shay after she got backlash for posing next to Ariana’s ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval, 40, in a photo with a fan.

In a confessional she said Madix needs to ‘pull her head from out of her own a**’ and ‘remember who her friends are and what they’ve done for her.’

Elsewhere on The Talk, Lala discussed Scandoval — the cheating scandal that unfolded on the show last year, during which Sandoval, who had been in a relationship with Ariana for nine years, was revealed to be cheating on her with cast member Raquel Leviss, who was one of Ariana’s friends.

Lala said the scandal ‘ran parallel’ to her own relationship issues at the time.

Lala was engaged to film producer Randall Emmett, 52, for several years, but their relationship ended in late 2021 due to allegations that he had cheated.

‘Scandoval ran very parallel with where I was in my heartbreak, so I was out for blood. I saw a straight man and was like, I am ripping you to shreds.’

‘And now, before we started filming the season, I knew I was going on this journey to potentially bring another child into the world, and I just knew I need to be soft, I need to practice compassion.’

‘I appreciated that when people did it for me,’ she went on. ‘I would appreciate it if somebody did that for my daughter, if and when she messes up tremendously,’ the star added, referring to her and Emmett’s daughter Ocean, three.

Bravo hasn’t announced when the Season 11 reunion will air, but Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.

The star revealed she was pregnant with her second child earlier this month, after she turned to a sperm donor to conceive her child.

She and her ex Randall were dating when Lala appeared on season four of Vanderpump Rules, her debut with the series, but she kept his name secret until he had finalized his divorce from the actress Ambyr Childers in December of 2017.

In 2018, the lovebirds got engaged, and they welcomed Ocean on March 15, 2021.

But there was trouble in paradise, and Lala called off their engagement in October of that year and subsequently accused her ex of repeated infidelity.

Then, in 2022, the Los Angeles Times published accusations that Emmett had allegedly offered an actress film in exchange for sleeping with him.

The producer subsequently denied the accusations via his spokesperson.

‘Lala Kent has lied and manipulated others in her desperate attempt to win full custody of their daughter, keep her name in the press and remain relevant in reality television,’ his spokesperson Sallie Hofmeister claimed.

For her second pregnancy, Lala wanted nothing to do with her ex Randall and instead turned to a sperm donor.

Although she has said she expects to get plenty of help raising her second child from her mother, she is moving forward with the pregnancy on her own.
